Our focus is personal figures and keepsakes inspired by people, pets and shared milestones. A favourite outfit, a companion’s markings or a meaningful pose can be a starting point. Each idea needs a feasibility review before we can agree to make it.

You can create an account, save a private brief, add reference images and submit an enquiry for review. PayPal is available after you accept a studio quote. Google sign-in is not connected. A saved draft is not a submitted request; neither saving nor submitting reserves production or starts paid work. For a general, text-only question, contact hello@ownobject.com.

No saved subject profile or complete photo set is required to describe your idea. In your brief, explain which references you have, the details that matter most and what you cannot provide. Clear, well-lit photographs and extra angles can help, but taking new photos is not always possible. We assess what is visible, what needs clarification and what requires an agreed creative choice—not promise to recover hidden features or unseen details. See the reference preparation guide. Add necessary images through your signed-in Reference library; please do not email private photographs.

Please use only images you own or have permission to use, and make sure you have the necessary permission to depict the people or artwork involved. Being able to find an image online does not establish permission. If you are unsure, ask a general question before sending any files.

Check My projects in your account first. If the request appears with its reference and status, it is saved: do not send a duplicate. Email is a reminder, not proof that review, payment or production has started. Project notifications are currently sent manually by the studio, so they may not arrive immediately. Use the project conversation and include the reference if you need help. If no project or confirmation appears, contact us before trying again.

After you send the saved brief, the studio reviews it and may ask for specific missing details. You answer in the project conversation and review a complete quote when issued. If you accept, review the delivery details and approve the separate PayPal payment. Acceptance alone does not start design or production. For the planned later stages, see the step-by-step responsibilities. A message asking a question does not automatically change the agreed scope.

Use the current document shown in your private project, including its version and status. A quote must still be available and valid to accept. If it has expired, been replaced or cannot be opened, ask the studio; an older email is not permission to accept an old version. In the later design stage, only an explicit approval of the identified current design counts. Quote acceptance, silence and an earlier design approval cannot approve a changed version.

The first step is a free human feasibility assessment of your idea, not a free completed design or model. A suitable scope can then be set out in a quote for your review. Accepting a quote confirms that scope; it does not charge you. The planned paid-service sequence is acceptance, then one payment, then digital design. Production follows design review and your explicit approval of the current 3D design. PayPal is available after you accept a studio quote. No charge until you approve payment.

The baseline is one 2D direction revision before moving into 3D, plus one small 3D revision within the agreed subjects, pose, clothing and design direction. The quote should explain these limits for your piece. If an agreed detail seems missing, ask in the project conversation before submitting a formal revision request. A normal message does not use a revision round; a successful formal revision request uses one immediately. Combine the changes for that round and say what should remain unchanged. The studio will review a possible omission and explain how it will be handled. A new person, different pose or outfit, or replacement direction needs a separate scope review. Any effect on cost and timing must be agreed before that work starts.

You would explicitly approve the current, identified 3D design version, including its review images and the written agreement on features, pose, size, base and relevant making limits. Accepting a quote is not design approval. No reply is not approval either: silence, an opened email, “received” or a general compliment does not authorise production. An unanswered review stays unapproved, and timing needs to be checked again. If the design version changes, it needs fresh confirmation; approval of an older version does not carry over.

A digital preview explains the design; it is not a photograph of the finished object. Size, material and finishing affect colours, surface texture and small details. Thin accessories may need to be simplified or supported. Relevant limits need to be discussed before approval. We do not promise an exact photographic likeness or identical screen-to-object colour.

No. The current reference images are not Own Object delivery examples. They help explain possible styles, not prove our production quality. Reference photos, digital concepts and our own physical samples must be identified separately. Unrelated images should not be read as one commission’s before-and-after sequence.

The number of people or pets, size, pose, clothing, props, base, finish, packaging and destination all help define the work. We are not advertising a fixed price yet. A complete quote needs to state the agreed piece, included revisions, optional extras and exclusions before you decide.

Tell us when you would need to receive it, not just when it should ship. A requested gift date is a target to assess, not an accepted deadline. Design, your feedback, production, packing and transit are separate parts of the schedule. Availability and timing must be reviewed before a project is accepted; missing information, changes or delayed approval can affect them. Neither a brief nor payment alone guarantees the requested date. We do not currently offer a fixed turnaround or guaranteed arrival date.

Destinations and shipping options have not been confirmed for the public service. They need to be checked for each project. Before you accept a quote, shipping charges and what is included or excluded must be clear, including any taxes or duties that may be payable separately. We are not promising worldwide shipping.

A preview does not automatically include a downloadable 3D model or source file. Digital-file delivery and any usage permission must be listed in the quote. You can choose your own available saved reference information for a new brief; this is not downloadable-model access or automatic model conversion. Saving and reuse remain subject to the information and permissions shown in your account, and a new commission still needs its own quote and approval.

In your customer space, choose your own available reference profiles for a new brief. Reuse means reusing selected reference information—not copying an old quote or approval, or automatically producing a model in any template. Each new piece needs its own feasibility review, quote and design approval. Your Reference library is private, not a public gallery, and there is no permanent-storage promise. Reusing references does not grant downloadable model or source-file rights; those remain subject to what is expressly agreed in the quote.

Once production begins, we do not accept cancellation or refunds for a change of mind. If your order arrives damaged or is lost in transit, we provide a free replacement, including replacement delivery. Contact us through your project conversation or email with your order reference. Your statutory rights and any applicable protection under PayPal’s terms remain unaffected. Read the cancellation, delivery and replacement policy before accepting your quote or paying.
